Cabipa is committed to sustainability, guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We have aligned our efforts with 6 of the 17 SDGs: Goals 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, and 17. These goals are embedded in our business aspirations, particularly in the second phase of our strategic intent.
SDG Goals Cabipa Supports
Through these goals, we aim to drive sustainable growth, innovation, and energy transition while contributing to a more equitable and environmentally responsible future.
Energy Transition and
Business Transformation Strategy Development
In response to the global push for Net-Zero emissions by 2050, Cabipa has adopted a forward-thinking energy transition strategy. Our plan leverages innovative trading and manufacturing techniques to provide affordable, clean energy and essential infrastructure to surrounding communities and cities. This initiative will generate job opportunities, supporting economic growth in the areas where these industries are established.
As a seasoned and strategic player in the Global Oil & Gas/Shipping industry, we will establish an energy free trade zone (e-FTZ) for the production and supply of alternative fuels like ammonia and hydrogen for bunkering in the shipping industry. This initiative will position Cabipa as a regional leader in alternative fuel supply and establish West Africa as a key hub for cleaner fuel bunkering.
We are collaborating with global experts and partners to conceptualize, design, and construct the e-FTZ.
As part of our commitment, we aim to partially or fully fund the construction of this project through carbon credits, positioning Cabipa as a pioneer in carbon finance within Nigeria and across Africa.
